Cardiology is a clinical branch of medicine that studies the cardiovascular system, its functions, the causes and mechanisms of heart and blood vessel diseases. It also covers the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of these conditions.
Today, cardiovascular diseases are among the most widespread health issues worldwide, making the role of the cardiologist crucial in modern medicine.

Treating heart diseases is a complex process, and timely consultation with a cardiologist is especially important.
Here are some of the main symptoms that require medical attention:

  • Chest discomfort or pain, especially when accompanied by a feeling of pressure or tightness, which may indicate angina or be a warning sign of a heart attack.

  • Shortness of breath, even during light activities or at rest, may point to heart failure. In such cases, the cardiologist evaluates cardiac function.

  • Swelling in the legs or ankles, which can indicate heart failure, as the weakened heart struggles to pump blood effectively.

  • High blood pressure is a major risk factor for various heart conditions. A cardiologist helps manage hypertension and reduce the risk of related cardiovascular diseases. Managing blood pressure is essential in any heart disease treatment plan.

  • Abnormally fast or slow heart rate, such as bradycardia (slow) or tachycardia (fast), may signal arrhythmia. Arrhythmias impair the heart's pumping ability and can lead to heart failure or blood clotting problems over time. Early diagnosis and lifestyle changes significantly improve the patient's condition.

At Enmedic Clinic, we offer a full range of diagnostic tests for heart diseases, including:

  • Cardiologist consultations

  • 12-lead electrocardiography (ECG)

  • Transthoracic echocardiography

  • 24-hour ECG monitoring (Holter method)

  • Laboratory tests

Electrocardiography (ECG, 12 standard leads)
This simple yet vital test records the heart's summed transmembrane potentials. It helps identify important disorders such as:

  • Arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, extrasystole, paroxysmal tachycardia)

  • Conduction disorders (SA and AV blocks, right and left bundle branch blocks, WPW syndrome, Frederic’s syndrome)

  • Ischemic heart disease (angina, myocardial infarction)

Echocardiography (Heart Ultrasound)
This ultrasound-based test reveals organic, structural, and functional changes in the heart. It shows all four chambers, major vessels (aorta, vena cava, pulmonary artery and veins), valve condition, any abnormal masses in the chambers, hemodynamic processes (blood flow), and changes in the pericardium. No preparation is needed before the test.

24-Hour ECG Monitoring (Holter Method)
This allows for the continuous recording of heart activity in patients with potential arrhythmogenic symptoms, episodes of syncope (fainting), structural heart abnormalities, bradyarrhythmias, AV conduction disorders, and more.

At Enmedic Clinic, all these modern diagnostic tools enable precise and timely diagnosis and help plan adequate treatment tailored to each patient.
